LFTX Consultants are READY!
Many of our current members became acquainted with Learning Forward Texas by attending one of our Tips, Tools, and Techniques workshops. Participants requested more professional learning tips and additional researched-based processes, so we developed Tips 2, Tips 3, and Cultivating Leadership.
After the world changed last year, we modified Tips 1 and Cultivating Leadership to a virtual format. We created Amp It Up! Effectively Engaging Adult Learners Online to meet the needs of our districts. Since last September, LFTX has offered over 20 virtual workshops attended by more than 700 Texas educators.
Like you, we are excited to be heading into a summer of relaxed restrictions. We want you to know that our consultants are ready to get out and deliver our workshops in person. How exciting is that? Of course, LFTX will work closely with districts to ensure the safety of all participants by following district pandemic protocols. However, for those who prefer, we will continue to offer virtual workshops.
We have a NEW online course to help districts develop or improve their online professional learning opportunities. This asynchronous course taught over a 6-week period will teach the LFTX Guidelines for Online Learning and help design a course that is as engaging as it is effective. Registration for this course will open in the fall.
Three NEW workshops will be previewed this summer and will be added to our catalog. Click the links for the full descriptions and course dates.
Register here for virtual workshops or contact Lisa Ham at for pricing and booking an in-person workshop.
So many NEW and exciting changes are taking place this summer. We hope you relax and enjoy your summer and possibly attend one of our new workshops.
registration ends June 11

Board Member Spotlight
The Board Member Spotlight is a new feature in the Straight Forward Newsletter. Since LFTX is all about “connection,” we wanted you to get connected with your current leadership.
And, so, each board member was asked to complete a wacky survey so we could discover some fun facts about them to share with you. This month’s board member is Debi Tanton, LFTX President-Elect. Debi is the Executive Director - Professional Learning in Mesquite ISD and has served on the LFTX board for 3 years.
