New Board Members and Officers announced for 2026

Learning Forward Texas is delighted to introduce our newest board members: Katie Bazzani, Professional Learning Specialist at Northside ISD, Dr. Marcy Corley, Director of Professional Learning at Frisco ISD, and LaCrisha Lewis, Director of Professional Learning at Prosper ISD. They began their three-year terms at our Annual Conference in Hurst, bringing new insights and a shared commitment to enhancing professional learning throughout the state. Their expertise and dedication to educator development will be invaluable to the organization as we continue to promote effective teaching and learning practices. They participated in their board orientation in April during the spring LFTX Board Meeting.

We are also thrilled to introduce our new board officers, who will assume their positions on July 1. Dr. Chris Summers from Montgomery ISD will take on the role of President. Dr. Glenda Horner from Cy-Fair ISD will become President-Elect, and Jennifer Hiser from Mesquite ISD will act as Financial Officer. We anticipate an energetic year under their guidance as we continue to empower educators and enhance professional learning across the state.

Board members Arden McLean and Dr. Kelly Hastings have finished their two terms. They were recognized at the spring Board meeting, and we are grateful for their commitment to advancing professional learning and their service to Learning Forward Texas.
