Roanoke, TX - Learning Forward Texas (LFTX), a leading nonprofit association dedicated to enhancing educator effectiveness through professional learning, is proud to announce the selection of its new board members for 2024. The newly appointed board members are distinguished professionals from various educational districts across Texas, each bringing a wealth of experience and a shared commitment to excellence in education.
New Board Members at a Glance:
Ivan Cantu, Chief Strategy Officer, Plano ISD. Ivan Cantu is determined to continue his passion for supporting teachers and administrators through advocacy and professional learning with LFTX. He believes that nurturing and empowering educators is crucial for the thriving future of education in Texas.
Kristina Feldner, Assistant Director of Professional Learning, Irving ISD. With a steadfast goal to transform the culture of teaching and learning, Kristina Feldner emphasizes the importance of continuous growth and service to educators and students statewide. Her vision aligns with LFTX’s mission to foster educational excellence.
Jennifer Hiser, Professional Learning Coordinator, Mesquite ISD. Jennifer Hiser is committed to upholding high standards and aligns with LFTX’s mission to positively impact classroom practices. She looks forward to fostering continuous improvement and collaboration among professionals.
Donna Shillinglaw, Coordinator of Teaching & Learning, Tyler ISD. Donna Shillinglaw is passionate about contributing to non-profit organizations and believes in the transformative power of professional learning to enhance teaching practices and student outcomes.
As these new members join the board, LFTX also thanks Vicki Arrington and Debi Tanton for their invaluable contributions during their tenure. Their dedication and service have significantly impacted the organization's mission and vision.
