Exciting Leadership Changes at Learning Forward Texas

We are pleased to announce an exciting new development in the leadership structure of Learning Forward Texas. To better serve our members and enhance our organizational effectiveness, the role of Executive Director will be divided into two distinct positions: Director of Business Operations and Director of Marketing. This strategic change is designed to optimize our operations and enhance our outreach and engagement efforts.

Debi Tanton Appointed as Director of Business Operations

Welcome Debi Tanton as the new Director of Business Operations, effective September 1, 2024. Debi recently retired from Mesquite ISD, where she served in the Professional Learning department for 12 years, retiring as Executive Director. With an impressive 30-year career in education, Debi has held various roles, including teacher, principal, and district leader. She was on the Learning Forward Texas board for six years and served on the Executive team as President. Her extensive experience and proven leadership will be invaluable as she oversees the booking of learning sessions, coordinating board meetings, and organizing our annual conference.

Lisa Ham Transitions to Director of Marketing

Lisa Ham, who has served as our Executive Director for the past four years, will transition to the newly created role of Director of Marketing. Lisa will continue managing the newsletter, webpage, and social media platforms. Her dedication and innovative approach have significantly contributed to our organization's growth and engagement with members.
